Two Things Moving on One Mountain

Flick the switch and the red gondolas set off up the cable from the base station, pass each other halfway and arrive at the chalet on the summit, then turn round and come back down. On the other face of the mountain, skiers in bright jackets glide down the winding piste and are carried back up to go again. Both run from one motor under the base.

Lit Chalets and Snowy Pines

Warm white LEDs sit behind the windows of the base lodge, the mid-station and the summit chalet, and in the lamp posts along the path. The slopes are dusted with fibre snow, pine trees stand in groups between the rocks, and a little bridge crosses the stream at the bottom. Eight carols play softly; music and movement switch separately.

The Ski Holiday, Without the Flights

For families who go to the mountains every winter and want a bit of it at home, or for the ones who never quite make it. It sits on a side table or a sideboard and children follow the gondolas up and down for longer than you would expect.

USB or Batteries

Power it from any USB socket with the included cable, or drop in three AA batteries and put it where there is no plug. About 35 cm tall, so it stands next to the tree without disappearing behind it. It packs back into its foam-fitted box for next year.
