Every Bulb Does Its Own Thing

Ordinary string lights are one colour and one pattern. Here each LED is an addressable pixel, so the string can run a chase, fade through a rainbow, flicker like candlelight, drop snowflakes down the tree or hold two-colour candy-cane stripes. Hang them in rows and the app treats them as a screen for scrolling text and simple pictures.

Set Up From the Sofa

Connect by Bluetooth, pick from the built-in scenes or draw your own, set the brightness and the speed, and schedule them to come on at dusk and off at midnight. A small remote does the basics without the phone. Switch on music mode and the built-in microphone makes the lights move with whatever is playing.

Tree, Balcony or the Front of the House

The 10 m string wraps a 6 ft tree or runs the length of a balcony rail. The 20 m string does a bigger tree, the porch and the fence, or the front of the house. The cable and nodes are IP65, so rain and frost are fine; the USB controller stays indoors or under cover.

USB Powered, Low Voltage

The whole string runs on 5 V from the included USB adapter or any USB power source, so it is cool to the touch and safe round children and pets. Pack it away on the included reel in January and it is ready for next year, with new scenes added to the app in between.
